To all my family and friends, 
     
     I apologize if you didn't want this information. But I want to let you know that Fox News is now introducing, my daughter Savannah Noe that started and now doing the 2nd annual event SHOES FROM HEAVEN, shoe drive.

     Fox news mentioned the shoe drive for SHOES FROM HEAVEN will take place at "GB Shoes" in Greenville on the 16th from 6am to 7pm. Savannah Noe will be there and so will Fox News. Also Savannah says she's also taking requests for families with elementary age students that needs shoes you can contact her or me. Keep watch on Fox News for Savannah's interview that will be taking place soon and for her to be with "GB Shoes" in Greenville and Fox News on the 16th.

     I'm very proud and blessed to see my oldest daughter, your friend, your family, serving the Lord and to begin this SHOES FROM HEAVEN for children; that began last year on her 18th birthday and continuing now annually for her birthday. To give instead of receiving.

     Last year for her to just begin raised 30 pairs of shoes and blessed families. This year her goal was to reach 200 pairs of shoes. It looks as though she's going to reach way above that and will bless many children; showing by actions the love of Jesus Christ!

     Savannah stated when we were heading home last year, after 11 hours, her giving out shoes and spending time sharing about Jesus; tears streaming down her face, "Mama I know  I've been blessed more then the children receiving the shoes."

     What a profound young lady she truly is, showing love instead of speaking it. It is true that actions make a greater impact, then words do!

     Let Savannah be an example of what all of should be doing. Letting our actions speak for themselves. Letting us be reminded that you don't have to be rich, you don't have to live in a fancy place, you don't have to be popular among your peers, you don't have to be a certain age, you don't have to be smart - To change a life, all you have to do is love. We can all be a someone, but will we follow Jesus' example to be a somebody that HE wants us to be. Touching one person at a time!

     I love all of you and thank you so much for praying for Savannah to be led by Jesus to have SHOES FROM HEAVEN be a success!

FOX Carolina, Shoes from Heaven and GB Shoes are teaming up to host a back-to-school shoe drive on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Viewers who donate a brand new pair of shoes for school-aged children can get a discount off their total purchase that day.
We are collecting shoes for Shoes from Heaven, which is an Upstate organization that collects brand new shoes to give to children in need before they start school. The goal is to give them shoes so that they start the school year with confidence. All of the shoes go to children in the Upstate.

Here's how it works:
On Tuesday, Aug. 16, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., you can go to GB Shoes at 1290 S. Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville to donate a brand new pair of shoes for school-aged children. Anyone who donates a pair of brand new shoes for school-aged children (sizes 12 – 5) will receive 20 percent off their total purchase that day at the GB Shoes location on South Pleasantburg Drive. That location of GB Shoes is the only participating location and this offer is only good on Tuesday, Aug. 16 between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.  The discount must be used on that day and at that location.

You do not have to buy the pair that you donate from GB Shoes in order to get the discount. If you buy a brand new pair in advance (or perhaps have a brand new pair that your children never wore and you forgot to return to the store), you can donate that pair and still receive the 20 percent discount off your total purchase for that day.

The donated shoes absolutely must be brand new, never worn before and for school-aged children (sizes 12 – 5). The children must be able to wear them to school, so no flip flops, water shoes, etc. Closed-toed shoes, like sneakers, are preferred so they can be used in winter too.
