Of course all those that know me.. the eldest child is LakeLynn (She is 3 years old).
I know that I have not posted much at all of Mila on Facebook or any other social media for that matter. It wasn't that I did not want to or anything. Facts are facts, sometimes there are just no words at that time of what to say what you are feeling.
Once again I was able to be in the birthing room with Katarina while she gave birth. What an absolutely amazing experience and I am so honored that she allowed me the privilege to be there as her coach. And I am blessed beyond measures to once again see my one of my grandchildren take their 1st breath as she entered this world.
If you haven't been able to experience seeing a child born.. it is definitely something you need to put on your bucket list. I can not even begin to explain to you what it is like and how you feel as you see the baby emerge from the safety of their mother's womb. I can not explain the extraordinary events that take place during this miracle that is happening right before your own eyes.
The overwhelming emotions of seeing my granddaughter for the 1st time, I thought that I couldn't feel anymore then what I was feeling right then. I was on "Cloud 9." Yet, I came to find out that there was more.. seeing the daddy cut the cord.. and to top it all off.. the doctor putting Mila in her Mother's arms.
To hear your daughter speaking to her newborn saying how perfect she is.. how wonderfully beautiful and saying hi to her and smothering her face with kisses as tears run down her cheeks for the love that she feels for Mila. Then glancing over and seeing the father looking at her as he continues to caress the woman's hair that just birthed his child and tears are running down his face. Both the parents with wide smiles and tears running down their cheeks is absolutely a home run to cause my emotions to be almost suffocating.
And of course the feelings get just a little more heavy on my chest as I try to contain my emotions as I watch Mila's sister see her for the 1st time. Yes, my chest was heavy with such powerful feelings of love and seeing this all unfold right before me. I can not be more proud then I was at that time. As for LakeLynn it was all over her face of how excited it was as she also smothered her baby sister in soft gentle kisses as she held her in her arms.
Love is a powerful thing.. Just as you think you could not love another so much.. You find out that you do. When you think that nothing could be so perfect.. You see that there are. And when you think that there isn't anymore miracles... you witness it.
