Preface
My name is Carl Noe, and I was adopted into God’s own family more than sixty years ago. Now He is my heavenly Father.
Recently I felt a strong desire to learn more about Him. I began by an extensive search of the Scriptures.
I discovered that the Scriptures declare beyond any doubt that the God of the Bible is indeed the only true God.
I have been so thrilled and excited about this study about the only true God, His greatness, His ability, and His great plan for heaven and earth and the people living on the earth.
I wanted in some way to share my joy and finding with others. I have attempted to arrange Scriputer references together to form a study of the only true God that would be informative.
Respectfully,
C.N

Jeremiah 10:10
“According to some people, there are many so-called gods and many lords, both in heaven and on earth. But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we exist for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made every-thing and through whom we have been given life.” 1 Cor. 8:5,6
The Apostle John said, “We know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we are in God because we are in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.” 1 Jn. 5:20

No one can reverse my actions.” Isa. 43:10, 11, 13
The only true God says, “Do not forget the things I have done throughout history. For I am God—I alone! I am God, and there is no one else like me. Only I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.” Isa. 46:9, 10

The Bible says, “There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.” Acts 4:12

(Notice God’s anger with people who reject His great plan of salvation.)
The Bible says, “But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.” Rom. 1:18-20

Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs – for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything and he satisfies every need there is. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand which should rise or fall, and he determines their boundaries. His purpose in all of this ways was that nations should seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him – though he is not far away from any of us.” Acts 17:24-27

(Notice in Genesis 1:3 through Genesis 1:25 God spoke at least eight times, and each time He spoke something came into being. But, notice in Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 2:7 when God created people, He did not merely speak them into creation, but with His loving hands he formed them in His own likeness, and breathed His breath of life into them, “His very special creation.”) C.N.
“The God said, ‘Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life – the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild animals, and small animals.’ So God created people in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them.” Gen. 1:26, 27

The Bible tells us, “Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he deliver those who have lived all their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. Heb. 2:14, 15
“The LORD Almighty has sworn this oath: ‘It will all happen as I have planned. It will come about according to my purposes.” Isa. 14:24

The Bible says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Cor. 5:10
Jesus said, “For I, the Son of Man, will come in the glory of my Father with his angels and will judge all people according to their deeds.” Mt. 16:27
Jesus said, “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. Then the King will say to those on the right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’ Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his demons.” Mt. 25:31-34, 41
The Bible says, “God overlooked people’s former ignorance about these things, but now he commands everyone everywhere to turn away from idols and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.” Acts 17:30, 31

The Bible says, “God has given him (Jesus) authority over all things. (Of course, when it says “authority over all things,” it does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.)” 1 Cor. 27
The Bible says, “Though he (Jesus) was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal’s death on a cross. Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phil. 2:6-11
The Bible says, “Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. But now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he made the universe and everything in it. The Son reflects God’s own glory, and everything about him represents God exactly. “When people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any questions that oath is binding. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. So God has given us both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold on to his promise with confidence.” Heb. 6:16-18
Jesus said, “There will be strange events in the skies—signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and the strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stabilityof the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory.” Luke 21:25-27

Jesus said, “Reports will reach you that the Son of Man has returned and that he is in this place or that. Don’t believe such reports or go out to look for him. For when the Son of Man returns, you will know it beyond all doubt. It will be evident as the lightening that flashes across the sky.” Luke 17:23, 24
The Bible says, “There are secret things that belong to the LORD our God, but the revealed things belong to us and our descendants forever, so that we may obey these words of the law. Dt. 29:29
(Notice,) the last book of the Bible is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him concerning events that will happen soon. An angel was sent to God’s servant John so that John could share the revelation with God’s other servants. (Rev. 1:1) “John faithfully reported the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ – everything he saw.” (Rev. 1:2)
The Apostle John tells about Jesus appearing to him, He said, “When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven god lampstands. And standing in the middle of the lampstands was the Son of Man. He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest. His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were bright like flames of fire. His feet were as bright as bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was as bright as the sun in all its brilliance.
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last, I am the living one who died. Look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave. Write down what you have seen – both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen later.” Rev. 1:17-19
The Apostle John said, “Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me with the sound of a mighty trumpet blast. The voice said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things.” Rev. 4:1
The Apostle John tells how some of the things he saw affected him.
Some made him weep. Rev. 5:4, 5
Some made his stomach sour. Rev. 10:10
Some completely amazed him. Rev. 17:6
Some must have been too bad to write about.
He was told not to write. Rev. 10:4
The Apostle John said, “Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, surrounded by a cloud, with a rainbow over his head. His face shone like the sun, and his feet were like pillars of fire. And in his hand was a small scroll, which he had unrolled. He stood with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.” Rev. 10:1, 2
“Then the mighty angel standing on the sea and on the land lifted his right hand to heaven. And he swore on oath in the name of the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. He said, “God will wait no longer.” Rev. 10:5, 6
The Apostle John said, “Then I saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. For they are spiritually undefiled, pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been purchased from among the people on the earth as a special offering to God and to the Lamb. No falsehood can be charged against them; they are blameless.” Rev. 14:1, 4, 5
The Apostle John said, “After this, I heard the sound of a vast crowd in heaven shouting. “Hallelujah! Salvation is from our God. Glory and power belong to him alone.” Rev. 19:1
“Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd, or the roar of mighty ocean waves, or the crash of loud thunder: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.” Rev. 19:6
“And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.” Rev. 19:20
“Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. He seized the dragon—that old serpent, the Devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years. The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he would be released again for a little while.” Rev. 20:1-3
“When the thousand years end, Satan will be let out of his prison. Then the Devil, who betrayed them, was thrown into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Rev. 20:7, 10
“And I saw a great white throne, and I saw the one who was sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to the things written in the books, according to what they had done. The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead in them. They were all judged according to their deeds. And death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.” Rev. 20:11-15
The Apostle John said, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a beautiful bride prepared for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, the home of God is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever.” And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making all things new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” Rev. 21:1-5
“Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” So he took me in spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.” Rev. 21:9, 10
(John expresses in great detail what he saw.)
(Notice verses 22 and 23 (on the next page.)
“No temple could be seen in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light. Nothing evil will be allowed to enter—no one who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” Rev. 21:22, 23, 27
The Apostle John continues, “And the angel showed me a pure river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, cursing down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations. No longer will anything be cursed. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their forheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever. Then the angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true: ‘the Lord God, who tells his prophets what the future holds, has sent his angel to tell you what will happen soon.” Reve. 22:1-6
Jesus said, “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the prophecy written in this scroll.” Rev. 22:7
Jesus said, “See, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay all according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Rev. 22:12, 13
Jesus said, “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.” Rev. 22:16, 21
The Apostle Peter said, “So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while.” 1 Peter 1:6
“For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in heaven, which is yet to come.” (Heb. 13:14)
Thank God for his Son—a gift too wonderful for words! 2 Cor. 9:15

“You are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the LORD. “And you are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God.

Heb. 2:14, 15

2 Cor. 9:15
