Growing up until recent years, my teeth was the only thing that I liked about myself. (Now I have to find something else). I am being honest, after all, that is the meaning of my online blogging or being my own journalist.
Many years of not being able to afford a dentist or numerous pregnancies and of course the tons of medication has taken its toll on my teeth. From breaking and hurting desperately bad that I pull it out myself or to simply just let them rot. Didn't really bother me until the past few years.
My front teeth are chipping and I basically have nothing let in the back making it difficult to chew food. Even when we did have some money that I could get my teeth looked at, would in the end cost an enormous amount to even begin to get that "Hollywood" smile.
Dentist are outrageously expensive and realistically working at Domino's and my husband getting his retirement just isn't going to afford a dentist or even partials to make it easier to accept my smile just isn't pretty anymore.
I watch television and talk shows and it amazes me like with the audience number picked on Dr. Oz for a random person all seem to have wonderful, beautiful teeth. You rarely see anyone on TV that has a disgusting smile with bad teeth.
Sort of like all of Hollywood have a perfect figure.. We set our standards according to what society sets. Same as with a "Hollywood" smile, a common Joe, like I, can only wish upon a star that maybe, just maybe one day I will have a smile like that. But, just like many most of those wishes are thrown into the wind and blown away.
